
1 Supplement with plant sterols
Plant sterols are natural compounds found in foods such as nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables that help to lower LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol - often referred to as 'bad' cholesterol - by reducing its absorption in the gut.
