Alpacas can provide a wonderful lifestyle and is an exciting emerging farming enterprise in the UK, with financial returns from fibre production and breeding, as well as their calm nature being ideal for agri-tourism and therapy.
One of the most important considerations when buying alpacas is who you are buying them from. It is not always economically viable to go for the cheapest alpacas if they end up needing extra care and veterinary expenses because they are obtained from an unscrupulous or novice breeder, not to mention the potential heartache.
