Officers were called at about 3pm yesterday to reports of a shooting at Paradise Road, Stockwell, and though treated by paramedics at the scene, Lathaniel died, the force said. Police say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information.
A witness told the BBC the teenager had been shot dead by a man dressed as a delivery driver on a moped who fired when two boys came down the stairs of a block of flats.
