DOHA/JERUSALEM: Palestinian militant group Hamas on Monday accused Israel of working to "collapse" a ceasefire agreement for Gaza and evade a continuation of the truce amid an impasse over its implementation. Israeli government spokesman David Mencer, meanwhile, accused Hamas militants of hoarding supplies, saying they have "enough food" in Gaza a day after Israel blocked aid deliveries amid an impasse in truce talks.
Israel faced sharp criticism as it stopped the entry of all food and other supplies into Gaza on Sunday and warned of "additional consequences" for Hamas if a fragile ceasefire isn't extended.
Mediators Egypt and Qatar accused Israel of violating humanitarian law by using starvation as a weapon.
