AN MP suspended by Labour over membership of an offensive WhatsApp group was hauled before the Chief Whip yesterday.
The party said it took "swift action" against Oliver Ryan over comments in a chat group used by councillors and activists in Greater Manchester.
The MP apologised for his involvement in the Trigger Me Timbers group, which was filled with racist, sexist and other unpleasant messages.
Ryan, who is gay, appeared to mock a fellow Labour MP, who has not been named, over his sexuality in the group.
