THE teenage son of a university lecturer has been charged with his father's murder.
The body of Derek Nicoll, 64, was found at his home in Commerce Street, Arbroath, by emergency services on Tuesday.
His son Croc Nicoll appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court yesterday charged with murder.
The 19-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
His next court appearance is expected to be within eight days.
