NISBET reckons getting in the best shape of his life has helped him muscle his way back into the Scotland squad.
The on-loan Aberdeen striker is on a hot scoring streak with five goals in his last six games.
That has seen Steve Clarke call the 28-year-old up for the crunch Nations League double-header with Greece.
Nisbet has been doing a lot of extra work on and off the park and believes it is now paying dividends.
He said: “It’s a bit of everything really. I focused on the gym stuff and I've been coming in on days off.
“It’s about consistency and also changing my mindset to working everyday, feeling good and being fresh for games. I've been doing better.
“I’m 28 now and this is probably the fittest I have felt in my entire career, if I'm being completely honest.”
Nisbet moved to Pittodrie from Millwall and knew he had to use it to relaunch his career after his spell down south was blighted by injury.
