While the comfort and convenience of Internet retail are hard to beat, there is a growing interest in shipping’s environmental impact. When Akshat Bhatt, Principal Architect at Architecture Discipline was tasked with designing Delhivery’s new 32,500 sq ft headquarters in Goa, he decided to take the environmentally conscious road. Rather than starting from scratch, he found ways to revitalise the existing workshop of the homegrown logistics provider company.
“Despite the existing structure being seemingly unremarkable, its potential for reuse was quickly identified, acknowledging the material it had already consumed and its established footprint on the site,” says Akshat.
