Now, Uzo Aduba is on a mission to put a felon behind bars when she plays an eccentric sleuth investigating foul play at the White House in The Residence, an ambitious new whodunnit from the makers of Grey's Anatomy and Bridgerton.
Aduba stars as detective Cordelia Cupp, who is called to the prestigious Washington residence when a member of the staff is found dead.
âThe show is about a murder mystery that takes place at the White House on the night of a state dinner,â explains Aduba, who previously played pioneering Black US politician Shirley Chisholm in drama series Mrs. America. âIt involves all the people who are in that world â the staff, presidential administration and guests in attendance that evening.â
