"Richmond then folded on the professional side and I was handed my P45. That's when I went to Ireland and played for Connacht for a year, but I came back because I didn't find the set-up was professional enough.
"So I joined Sale. I played in Jason Robinson's first union game there in 2000. We had the likes of Steve Hanley and Oriol Ripol, Mark Cueto and Charlie Hodgson. I played at Quins for a bit too.
"I transitioned to being a full-time strength & conditioning coach in 2009 at the age of 34, but I'd been training people in the gym since I was 14 because I love it. My mum was a PT, so the fitness side of things was always in me.
